grays
When I’m gone
do not mourn me in black or white
remember me for the grays in-between
I wasn’t meant to be this or that
I dance through silver schemes
color schemes of silver linings
Sown into multiplex seams
When I’m gone
do not fall to your knees
or weep in sorrow
Instead- celebrate my grays
Remember the beat of my heart
and the life in my eyes
swim in my continuums
Go ahead and twist my words
in your head
over and over again
Think of everything I said
and everything I didn’t
Interpret what I called art
drown in the expressions I bled out
Stay drunk off the memory of me
let me live in you skin deep
and allow a smile to grab your cheeks
I wasn’t meant to be this or that
I have a million shades
of abstract grays
Please- remember me that way
